How to Get to Ambergris Caye By Air
By air is the easiest means of getting from the Belize City Airport to Ambergris Caye and is the most popular means of transportation. International flights arriving in Belize will first stop at the Philip S.W. Goldson International Airport in Belize City. From there, you’ll need to book a local flight to Ambergris Caye.Â

Travel to Ambergris Caye by Water
 For those who perhaps don’t like to fly or would prefer another mode of transit, there’s another option when it comes to how to get to Ambergris Caye. You can take a ferry aboard the San Pedro Belize Express water taxi. Though an easy and lovely ride, it takes a bit longer. The trip takes around 90 minutes and departs regularly throughout the day. It’s an affordable way to get to Ambergris Caye, costing about $15 in each direction. The ferry accommodates 40 passengers, each with a 2-bag limit.Â
You can also choose to travel to Ambergris Caye by private boat. If this is your preference, we have some recommended companies to book with on our website. You can expect a roundtrip ride to cost around $140 per person.Â
